building scalable and compliant i.t. systems from day one

DISABILITY SUPPORT PROJECT

The Disability Support Project (DSP) supports NDIS providers with adapting to Government changes, meaning they are constantly updating their best practice on how they can help others. What’s unique about DSP is that they only provide Coordination of Support, so their entire focus is on ensuring participants get the most out of their NDIS plan, not referring them to in-house services.

DSP is a brand-new business with ambitious growth plans. Jake recognised that his skills lie in helping others, not in IT.

However, it was important to Jake to ensure that DSP’s IT systems were set up properly from day 1 to ensure that they strictly adhere to privacy and compliance guidelines as laid out by the Australian Government.

Jake went to market and researched a number of IT providers here in Newcastle to assist with this, however, as a small business owner he couldn’t afford their onboarding costs and fixed fee pricing models.

It was the fact that Myrtec has no onboarding cost and that our Managed IT Agreements, FLEX, is set up so that customers only pay for the amount of service they consume (no fixed fee!), coupled with our experience and understanding of the NDIS landscape that made the decision to become a Myrtec customer a no-brainer.

“My experience with the Myrtec team thus far has been scarily easy from day one.

There has always been someone to talk to.

Being a small business owner, it’s often hard to find people to listen to you when you need help.

That’s why it’s really convenient to have a local team here in Newcastle – and not some overseas call centre- that I can actually call and ask questions to, and who can provide me with the right choices.”

To get DSP started, we put them on a FLEX Managed IT Agreement. Jake’s devices listed under his FLEX Agreement will receive all of the proactive management you’d expect from Managed IT. But, when and if he needs support, it will be billed on consumption. If he’s unhappy with our level of service, he can walk away with no-strings-attached, because we operate month-to-month, with no lock-in.

Jake asked for our advice on which computer would be best suited to his needs. We recommended a Microsoft Surface Pro because it is a lightweight device that Jake can use on the go- with clients, in meetings, in the office, at home etc. Myrtec was able to order this device and have it delivered, ready to use.
