How to set up your Sophos Firewall

Steps to unbox and connect a Sophos XG Firewall that has been pre-configured by Myrtec.

 

  1. Unbox the Sophos device.
  1. Remove the antennas from the packaging.
  1. Install the antenna in the configuration shown below by screwing them on to the threads. Be careful when installing that the center pin in the antenna does not get bent or broken.

4. Plug in the device and tighten the thread.

5. Power on the device.

6. Ensure that the activity light is on the back of the device.

7. If connecting to a Local wired network connect Port 1 to the Switch or other networking equipment

8. If connecting to an existing internet connection connect the WAN into port 2

9. Connect to the Wireless network using your SSID and Password.
