Microsoft's Exchange Online customers are now experiencing problems with the cloud email service, just a day after the company's Lync instant messaging service goes down globally.
According to posts on Microsoft's Office 365 community forum, the issues began with Exchange Online just past 10pm Tuesday (Sydney time). Reports say that some customers were unable to send or receive emails from the cloud email service. Long hold times were reported by many of its users when they tried to contact Microsoft's technical support.
Some customers reported that no problems with Exchange Online were appearing on Microsoft's Office 365 Service Health Dashboard.
It's not clear if the issues have also affected Office 365 users in Australia.
Microsoft's official Office 365 Twitter account confirmed the outage, but the company did not provide an estimated time of recovery.
