End of support notifications coming to Windows 7 Professional devices

Beginning on October 17, 2019, customers with Windows 7 Professional edition will be offered KB4524752 through Windows Update. This update enables notifications to Windows 7 Professional devices to ensure our customers are aware of the end of support (EOS) for Windows 7 and can take action to remain productive and secure. Note: Devices that are domain-joined as a part of an IT-managed infrastructure (typically enterprises) will not receive the notifications.

If you are not already aware support for Windows 7 is nearing the end

After 10 years, support for Windows 7 is coming to an end on January 14, 2020. After this time any computers running Windows 7 will continue to function but Microsoft will no longer provide technical support for any issues, software updates, security updates or fixes.

While you could continue to use your computer running Windows 7, without continued software and security updates, it will be at greater risk for viruses and malware. Going forward, the best way to stay secure is on Windows 10, macOS or Google ChromeOS. Please get in contact is you are not sure how to manage the end of support for Windows 7.
