Templates in Drive are documents or files with a pre-designed format that can be utilized with certain software (Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Forms, Drawing, and Sites).
The advantages of using templates are that can be used repeatedly without needing to be recreated. Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Forms, Drawings, and Sites templates are available on Google Drive. You can use a template in Google Drive for any app by going to the templates page.
Your Google account will need to be accessible for Template Gallery for Docs. All of your Google Docs documents will be able to be seen, edited, created, and deleted thanks to the Template Gallery for Docs. All of your Google Drive files are visible, editable, and creatable.
In Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, or Sites templates can help you save time. You can make your own template or select one that is already there. Use Docs to quickly produce attractive resumes, pamphlets, or newsletters. This will give you an immediate format for schedules, expense reports, budgets, or invoicing in Sheets.
You need to log in to your personal account because some template features are only accessible through business or school accounts.
Your templates may not show in Google Docs if your default language isn’t English. Google Docs templates are currently only accessible if English is your account’s default language. The templates won’t appear if you’ve picked a different language.
Choose one of the featured templates from the top menu on the Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, or Sites home screen. To view additional templates, click the Template Gallery link.
You should go to Display or Hide Template gallery if you can’t find the Template gallery.
If one of the Docs editors is currently open with a file open, choose File, New, From template, and then choose the desired template.
Click New on the Drive page, point the right arrow at Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, or Sites, and click From a template.
All you need to do is click the Google Drive icon in the content library to access your template files directly. Once there, select File Upload by clicking the New button in the top left corner. When the desired file has finished uploading, right-click it and select “Open With Google Docs.”
