Merewether Carlton Rugby Club
Merewether Carlton Rugby Union Club has cemented a place at the top of the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby Union competition. The Club proudly fills the maximum number of teams possible, comprising of five senior grades, a colts and a women’s side.
The Club has been Newcastle Rugby Club Champions on nineteen occasions, a record that no other Club has surpassed. This includes being Club Champions in the last five consecutive seasons – 2005 to 2009.
As a member of the 2007 1st Grade Premiership winning side, Tristan Hough, Myrtec’s Managing Director, is proud to continue his involvement with the Club as a member of the MCRC committee and as a Club sponsor. Myrtec recently redesigned the MCRC website as part of the Club's 80th Anniversary celebrations. Go the Greens!
